I had been using a wet vac to try and clean my fish pond but it took many many cycles of vacuuming, dumping, clearing to get anything done. With the model 4, it is continuous vacuuming, and dumping at same time. It is strong and sucks up leaves and trash quickly. The unit is easy to clean after use and the clear section of the hose let's you see how it is working. I am very satisfied and the unit is worth the cost..

It’s not a bad product but I wish I would have spent a little more money and got the newer one. It gets stopped up a lot it’s great for small jobs, but not for big jobs. Overall, I’m happy with what I spent on it and what it does so it was a good value. I just needed a little bit more.

I used the PondoVac 4 for the first time in a second-year pond that was not netted over fall & winter. Dense leaves and silt at the bottom. The vac attachments often clogged, but this was due to the density of the leaves - for which I blame myself. After about 30 minutes of vacuuming, about 20-25 lbs of wet leaves and silt were removed - two discharge bags full. The pond water is noticeably clearer the following day, and cleaning the vacuum and filters afterwards was a breeze. Essentially no delay in discharge allowing for continuous suction. Be wary of attachment clogs in dense muck, and this item will pay for itself in effectiveness.

It does a great job getting the sludge out of the pond. It's faster than other pond vacs because you don't have to stop for it to empty since it has 2 vacuum sections. It appears well made and is easy to use.

The only issue is the vacuum to output cycle. So it will vacuum super good for about 10 seconds, then output the water. But once I got used to the timing is was ok. Quality of the machine is excellent.
