  • Works as advertised

Z9PE-D8 MOtherboard: So far this board has worked as intended. I was a little worried it would be hard to fit into the full tower I had, but it dropped right in coolers and all. It's on par with your standard RAID equipped motherboard when it comes it boot and the layout of the slots are conveniently laid out. I don't understand why they didn't incorporate the on board VGA connector considering they have the one installed on the board, you just need to get a VGA adapter, but these were more common when the board was originally designed I believe. Cost all of $7 to have one ordered and shipped to me. Intel E5-2687W: The pair I received were engineering samples, but both work as expected and while they are 6 or so years old they are excellent CPU's for someone who wants to build a Dev Box, Media Box, NAS Box, or all 3 in one and not afraid of a little overkill. Cost wise they plain out preform most of the current chips due to their base clock and number of cores. Xeon's are also built to be more tolerant to running 24/7 and known to last longer than consumer grade when running 24/7 under load. Right tool for the job and all. Coolers: Standard cooler. Low cost, but effective. Only downside is the height, but in a case designed for this board I have over an inch of clearance so it's not an issues for me.

  • Good motherboard, good deal!

This was a used motherboard which included two Xeon E5 2687W processors and AIO liquid coolers for both. It has performed flawlessly and I'm delighted with the purchase.
