Bought this for my old HP 8000 Elite SFF, replaced the Radeon HD 4550 previously installed. Windows was able to find, download, and install the driver, so installation was fairly easy. I'm no big time gamer, but sometimes play with the old flight simulator. A good buy for the price.

I keep an old Dell XPS Gen 5 alive as a test platform for various Linux distributions. Over the years, I've run into a few that didn't play well with the stock NVIDIA GeForce 6800. It seems to be with distributions that started using the Wayland engine instead of X11. Screen tearing was so bad they could not be evaluated. The problem came down to the proprietary NVIDIA drivers not staying up to date on this old card, and the Linux Noveau driver inadequate for this relic. I noticed that there were numerous complaints about this screen tearing behavior only from NVIDIA users, and none from ATI. This AMD ATI Radeon HD 6540 solved the problems. No, it is not a gaming GPU, but for my purpose it rocks.

It works great! Gor the price you can't beat it, of course its not gunna run triple a games, i bought it to run minecraft and league of legends with my friends and i can grab a max of 150 fps in league of legends with it, no failures, its quiet, and fits ddr3, just remember that its low profile, my tower doesnt house low profile so i had to make a few modifications which i didnt mind
