I recently purchase two of these 45 watt X2's to refurbish a couple of old and inefficient computers that I no longer used. Each had originally ran with 65W and 95W chips that cost hundreds when new. The dusted off and newly refurbished desktops are capable of perfect 4K video, browsing and are quite responsive at everything except very code demanding tasks. With a decent video card they can still run older games quite well. For the dirt cheap prices these CPU's are currently selling for why not get out that old AMD board and make a very respectable PC for school or family use? Of course it's not the latest tech but not everyone needs a Ryzen or i7 for a file server, doing homework or watching movies in UHD. I still have my workhorse for heavy gaming and video editing, but spent less than $30 for two CPU's that easily handle 80% of what I need while consuming at least 30% less power and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. Use Open Office and that W7 OS in your CD case you no longer use or load a Linux disrto and you're good to go. Seriously, these CPU's can still perform quite well.Read full review

Replaced an older Sempron single core processor with this one and it really helped a lot by adding speed and life to an older system at a bargain price.

Works perfect. Got it for openmediavault, and it works excellent, in fact draws less power that the Athlon II 170u it replaced, and it runs cooler by around 2-3 degrees Celcius, thanks to better power states and power management.
