I haven't actually used this for anything yet. I did however disassemble and check everything. Initial run-out was 7-10 thousandths and I was disappointed. I then installed the dead center and checked run-out and it was .0005 in. OK. that is great! I then re-installed the chuck and chucked in some ground drill rod and now run-out is .00025 in. WOW! Backlash is adjustable and was nearly perfect. The index plates look accurate so dividing should be accurate as well. I couldn't be happier with the value and the quality far exceeds my expectations. I was surprised there is no lock on the face plate to the spindle, not having used an dividing head before, I have no idea if this is normal. so while it's is possible to drive this up to 2400 rpm (its in the manual) there is no lock to keep the chuck on the face plate so turning something in reverse could unscrew the chuck. I'm not driving it so I don't care. I've paid nearly the same price for my MT-2 JT3 Jacobs chuck (super ball bearing chuck and arbor) for my drill and it has more run-out than this table. Dividing head has. 005" (actually. 010")run out straight out of the box. I haven't tried re-seating the chuck on the back plate which might help . The biggest problem I have is when tightening the spindle lock the run-out continues to go further out. When tightened it becomes .005" more on top of the .005" run out for a grand total of .010" run-out. It can probably be fixed and is going to require some work. Considering the price I kind of expected this. I was just hoping it was not this bad . All excessiories were included and received it 2 days after I purchased it . Its a cheap dividing head and if u can deal with the issues then it is worth it . I will probably end up machining the back plate and make a new spindle lock

Nice economical set of dividing head and chuck. It includes all the needed accessories as well, I just had to get some T nuts and bolts separately to match my mill's table. It is a bit larger than I expected when I bought it, but it fit my mill/drill almost perfectly. The included chuck feels tight and accurate (didn't check the runout). I made four 90 degree test cuts on a shaft and they came out as square as I can measure. It will do great in my home shop for weekend use.

Seems very well made, solid, heavy and accurate. Upon delivery I disassembled and cleaned up the very minimal grit and rough edges, as to be expected, went back together easy and reasonably tight. Fit and finish are more than acceptable, For 232 dollars American, delivered, with the tail stock and the 5 inch ,3 jaw chuck with the extra set of jaws and a 1- 1/2 x 8 threaded backing plate that fits my lathe, I am well pleased, so much so that I built a special fitted wooden crate for the dividing head, tail stock, and dividing plates, etc., to keep them in so they don’t get wrecked.

I've only had it for a short time but it has a good solid feel when rotating . It has that heavy machinist feel. Jaws operate smoothly . Also made adapter so I use it as a welding rotator @ my welding table. Almost want to say overly built but we all know there is no such thing .
