This book details all the dirty laundry of the Catholic church from its founding until modern times and, for those unfamiliar with some of its rather shameful history, reading this book will be a shocking experience. I'm Catholic, a child of the 1950s where the the Latin Mass and much pomp and ceremony were the order of any day and there was a clear understanding of right and wrong in both practice and morality, unlike the blurry vision which Catholicism now presents. All the old sins of the Church's past are herein revealed, the alliances with temporal authority, the evil done by some popes, the shameful role played in assisting Nazis to escape to South America, and so on. It's a disturbing volume to read and it may shake the faith of some but, I find it rather reminiscent of "Elmer Gantry" in that those who invoke the name of God may be complete hypocrites. My only question here might be, is Mr. Hunt the Anti-Christ? Quite possibly.Read full review

Scriptural but at the end a bit of a blanket condemnation for Catholics and those who are a bit more flexible on Salvation by Grace including the late Billy Graham. If salvation is a mustard seed then regardless of denomination (or history of a particular church) one grows through sanctification which is a work of the Holy Spirit that even wrong minded doctrine can’t fully counter. The author does a very good job of documenting past sins coming from the Vatican (including Nazi sympathy and managing “rat lines” for heinous war criminals to South America. Much of it shocked me but well footnoted.

This book lays out the facts about the control the Catholic Church has over its members. The book is loaded with dates, names of popes and underlings, specifics of wrongdoings, and all backed up by the Bible (Gods True Word). You will never forget the many problems in this church and especially the popes after reading this book. A Must Read.

Even though it is 2020 and this book was written before the turn of the century and during John Paul II's papcy. It is compellingly written well documented and brings to light many compelling thoughts concerning the Roman Catholic Church's likely role in the future of The World's direction in 2020. I would highly recommend it to those who seek possible end of world events, historians who want a great review of much of Romes dealings through the centuries and those who are qwithin the Roman Church to challenge their thoughts where The Papcy may try and influence a prophesied coming one world government.
