Great for the money I paid.
I haven't used it a lot yet, but it seems pretty easy to use the basic features. The picture and sound quality are pretty good to. Still trying to figure a few of the settings out considering Im a novice. But i have shot and downloaded videos without too much hassle.

Exactly the camera we always wanted.
I love this camera. My wife and I bought this as a gift to each other after spending a long time researching cameras. This one has the features we wanted; 1080p to SD (Dual SD and internal hard disk, actually), an external mic jack (very important to us), and a nice optical zoom. Image stabilization is nice, but doesn't work as well as we'd hoped. Otherwise, we love the camera. Low light recording is better than average, the touchscreen is great (especially with the ability to add graphics to the screen during recording -- nice when you want to draw attention to something), and the 3-second pre-record is awesome (it's constantly recording when it's on. When you press the record button, it automatically saves the 3 seconds immediately before you pressed it). It fits nicely in your hand, and the controls are right where they should be.Read full review

Smaller Vixia Camcorders are easy to use. The are one of a few brands that have external mic inputs, and pass through HDMI.
