Bought the product because my mother's harddrive had started dying. I didn't want to have to put windows on the new HD or buy windows for it. This one came with windows on it. The only downside is it didn't come with some of the security updates that I feel SHOULD have been on the HD. But the updates needed are easily gotten off the internet. The largest upside of this is It saves you the trouble from getting windows, so it was a nice buy. Was glad to find no viruses, etc that weren't suppose to be on the HD.
