This lens is also known as the "Plastic Fantastic". It is labeled under different brand names. Vivitar and Cosina are two of them. Very inexpensive, but very, very sharp. Excellent overall image quality. Build seems a little cheap because it is very light weight and plastic. But, surprisingly, it has held up very well so far. The lens itself has a 1 to 2 magnification factor, but comes with a custom matched 1 to 1 screw-in adapter. Image quality with the 1 to 1 adapter seems just as good. Very competent 100mm telephoto as well. Great way to get into macro photography cheap, especially if you, like me, aren't doing it on a daily basis. Much better than add-ons.
This lens might not seem that great because of the plastic construction, but there's a reason it's called the incredible plastic. The test images I've taken so far have come out very well. Sharpness is excellent, both auto and manual focus work very well. Even without the 1:1 adapter the macro function also works quite well. I'd be careful with this lens because of the overall construction, but since I'm careful with all my lenses this is not a big concern for me.
The lens works great, and is in excellent condition.
