Canon EF 28-80mm f3.5/5.6 USM metal Mount
This lens is an older Canon lens and it's the best of the Canon EF 28-80mm kit lens. This lens has the best Canon USM motor and it provides fast auto focus. The lens has very good glass as it produces very sharp images. Make sure you get the version with the metal lens mount because later versions were not as good as the first version. Good value for money, average performer
It is good value for money but not as sharp as described on the internet in some reviews. It is average performer which is somewhat good at good light conditions while at low light situations it performs average or below. Colors and contrast are OK although not excellent. If you are looking for cheap solution it is arm in arm if not better then 18-55 kit lens with even larger coverage. From my experience you can count on sharpness in range 28-60 after that sharpness is going down especially in low light conditions and in shadow. Another great old USM lens
Read up on this one, liked the sized and zoom range for a walk around lens. Almost as sharp as its comparable L series glass, the 24-70 but with less than half the weight and at a fraction of the cost. This lens is just as described. It works as a manual focus lens, as the autofocus does not work. The lens itself (the optics), are in good condition, and it provides sharp images when properly focused.
