Installation is very straight forward with proper hardware. The included sheet metal screws need to be longer as there is barely any thread to grab into sheet metal ducting. Mold In The AC Drip Pan
I bought this last one for a spare. The ballast seems to last two to three years and then needs to be replaced. My first UV System, which is the same as the one I just bought has been on my furnace for about ten years and it makes me feel very safe from mold and germs that can grow under the AC coils in the pan that collects the moisture from the coils. Stopped working with in 3 years
Worked for less than 3 years then it just stopped working. Tried using replacement UV bulbs and the unit will light up after the replacement bulbs are installed.
