This game is a Playstation 1 game but as most playstation owners already know PS1 games can also be played on a PS2. I bought this game for my husband and I to play together. He already had a fishing game but it was only for one player. I had played this game and thought he would like it and I was right. He loves fishing and I like playing this game with him because sometimes I can actually beat him (only sometimes) where as with real fishing I wouldn't have a chance. The object of the game is to catch the most weight with your top 3 bass. The only problem we have found is we have a playstation 2 and it plays fine but we can't save anything because apparently a PS2 memory card doesn't work on PS1 games (atleast that is the only reason we can figure out why is won't work). Overall this is a fun game for people who love to fish and for people who have never had much luck at the lake. Hope this helps.Read full review
This is the first in a 3 part series on the PS1. It's an amazing arcade fishing series that got better with every following title. This first title is fairly tame compared to the other 2. The latter titles Has a "World Monster" Mode that has you catching some insanely big and Fantasy fish species. The same team that worked on these also made a PS2 game, "Fishermans Challenge" but it's more of a sim than the frantic arcade action found in the first 3 PS1 titles. Do yourself a favor and give this series a try. It's games like this that made Sony the unstoppable gaming Juggernaut it is.

I'm a big time sports fanatic, love to fish. So this game's so great for me, now that living in the Great Northwest, where there's no bass fishing.
