Sturdy tripod; easy to elongate legs and attach camera to ball head. Not a flimsy tripod. Instructions for use inside the zippered pouch inside the carrying case. Only complaint is that the black carrying case, although well-made, has a very strong foul odor from the material used. I put it out in the garage and hope that it eventually stops stinking. In the meantime, I'll make a cover for it.

The clip that attaches under the camera broke. I used it twice and out of no where it the popped off and won't stay on.

I have been very happy with this tripod so far (one month). To be truthful, the kind of shooting I do does not place heavy demands on a tripod, and for everyday use in rougher outdoor conditions one might choose something a little sturdier. That being said, this unit is no toy at all. It is very compact and light, and the legs and fliplocks work smoothly and securely. The ball head and quick release have shown no wiggle and my Sony @55 w/ 75-300mm zoom is nice and secure. The reversible center column is great for low and macro shots, and the levels and compass seem accurate. This tripod is stable and easy to use with great features and should last quite a while with good care.

After quite a bit of research, I picked this tripod for the balance between having alot of the essential and added features, coming with a ballhead that can be turned any direction easily and quickly, the fact that it sets up very quickly was another big deal, and if the legs seem kinda thin or the tripod too light there is a hook that a sandbag or anything can be hung from to add some weight, and the great price range makes it an easy purchase for the amount of features packed in!

I took my time to before selecting this tripod and I am very happy I did. The quality for price could not be better for the non-professional, occasional photographer. It is a gem!

The stand is very solid. It feels premium and is a premium product from Dolica. I have used couple of times in the inverted setup for macro photography and it works like a champ. This is not top of the line but for a casual photographer like me - this does the job. You cannot carry it on your normal backpack but if you have a little over sized one for your gear, you should be able to take this one with you anywhere you want. Overall, I am impressed and this is a value for money product.

This tripod was a complete surprise: I wasn't really expecting anything this sturdy, well-thought-out, and well-constructed at only 50 bucks (which Amazon sells for a couple of bucks more). It's very easy to set up, the design is simplistic and yet does everything you need for a tripod. My only regret is that it is not lighter. But hey, who are we kidding. This is aluminum and it's the lightest metal around. I can level up to carbon fibre but I will also need to pay 10 - 15x more, easily. So right now, I am completely satisfied and I will bring it out during the weekend to test.

I have found the tripod easy to carry, quick to extend and lock in, and sturdy enough for my relatively lightweight mirrorless rangefinder type cameras. I find myself taking the tripod with me more often than I did my heavyweight of another maker.

I bought one for myself to use with pochade painters box, it was so good I bought another for my wife. The price us fantastic. Capicity, if I recall correctly was 11lbs, more than enough to hold my box steady, and secure. I rate it 4 and not 5, for following 2 reasons, One of my tripod legs is stiff, trying to pull out. My wife's release is stiff. Still a very good value
