Great tool - especially for the money!!
I have never had a chain saw and was unsure if I should go with a gas powered model or an electric. Electric was the simpler way to go (no mixing oil & gas, no maintenance per se) but would it be powerful enough? All of my other electric power tools do the job so why not a chain saw? But I didn't know anyone with an electric chain saw so I was somewhat skeptical. Well, I'm not skeptical anymore. This little beauty is lightweight (about 11 pounds), very easy to handle, and powerful enough to cut through thick logs like a hot knife thru butter. I took down 4 big old oaks last fall and now it was time to cut them up. I went after some of the smaller branches and trunks figuring let me start small. No problems with anything I cut. Now, I didn't go and try to get thru the 24" diameter portions - yet. I was bit concerned that my old 100' extension cord wouldn't reach since I had to go deep into my yard (not a problem) and it might not be heavy-duty enough (16/3 - it was fine even though a 14/3 or 12/3 is recommended). My only complaint is that while Worx provides chain oil in the box, its barely enough to fill a quarter of the reservoir. They give you enough just to wet your (cutting) appetite. But all-in-all this saw worked great. No oil spills/leaks. Cuts great, Powerful. Great price. Will it hold up over the long run - no idea. But I'm not a lumberjack and only anticipate sporadic use so this product fits my needs to a tee. BTW, its very well constructed and feels very solid when you hold it.

Awesome electric chain saw
This is an awesome electric chain saw. I didn't know if it would handle the job I needed it to do. But it was AWESOME. I took down 6 trees about 24 inches in diameter and was able to cut all limbs and haul all of the trees off. This Electric chain saw worked for 7 hours and completed the job and was ready to do more. The automatic chain tensioner work excellent , as well as the automatic chain oiler. For the money this is an excellent item. would highly recommend this electric chain saw, if that is what you are looking for Cold2night

Be sure you use a cord rated at 15 amp's, I'm currently using a 100' 12 gauge extension cord with no problems. I have no negatives, no cons just PRO's. Good, Tough Chainsaw
Don't let the fact that this chainsaw is electric give you the impression that it isn't tough or powerful because it is. It has some weight to it, but is easy to handle though. Self oiling and easy chain tightening makes it so simple to operate. Got it pinched in a tree trunk and had to push the top letting gravity pull it over. I figured I'd broken the saw, but it worked just fine.
