The Juno 106 produces lush warm strings and punchy base lines that can only be found in a true analogue synth. I love the flexibility with deductive analogue filtering. The Roland only Chorus effect found in the 106 gives this synth lots of options. Goes well with an external sequencer, or is the perfect compliment to a DAW due to the full MIDI implementation. Full key size (not short or narrow) with responsive action makes the board easy and technically plausible to play. Highly recommended to any keyboardist, beginner or experienced; it complements any set.

The Roland Juno 106 has probably been featured on more hits than any other board in history, and with good reason: The sound is great and it's easy to program. Great basses, strings, brass, and pads come out of this instrument with ease, plus worth a vintage analog sound that's unmistakable. The chorus effect (put in to make up for its simple single oscillator architecture) is brilliant. A true classic, I will never part with my original Juno 106.

The Juno-106 is a real classic synth used by a lot of famus and infamous musicans (like me) and productions. You will still find it in modern studios. It sounds typically analouge with richness and warmth. I use it for production of modern dance music. It's really easy to program and to make your own sounds. You can make fat basses, swelly synthbrass, and the most mody analog string sounds. The Juno-106 also have full MIDI implementation. I actually have bought 3 Juno-106's on eBay lately. I se it as an investment because i believe it's underrated and eBay prices these days are a suprisingly low ;) There are som issues with the Juno and it's the dead voice problem. Google it. But it's fixable and spare parts are easy to find.
"Sometimes, when you want a certain sound, you have to go to the original source. This is very much the case with most analog synthesizers. The Roland Juno 106 has that edgy vibe to it,(1984-88), along with a taste and texture that is unique to this instrument. Technical specifications: Polyphony: 6 voices. Timbrality: Monotimbral Oscillator: 1 DCO per voice (pulse, saw, square and noise) LFO: triangle Synthesis type: Analog Subtractive. Filter: Analog 24dB/oct resonant low-pass, non-resonant high- pass. Attenuator: ADSR envelope generator. Users of note: Daft Punk, The Chemical Bothers, Moby, Pet Shop Boys, Passion Pit, Duran Duran, etc. You can buy all the emulations and samples you want, nothing quite captures the feel of it. If you get the opportunity, own the original, you'll never regret it!" -Hector Valentin (Justus4Justice), The Wurkz Studios Inc.Read full review
Couldn't be happier with this synth. It's legendary for a reason. Great patches, easy to use, classic look. All in all, an inspiring piece of gear. Was a little skeptical about the built in speakers, but it's proved to be super fun, and I actually prefer the look of the 106S since the lines and text are minimal (because the speaker grills take up a lot of real estate). Phenomenal condition, exactly as pictured, and I received the keyboard in less than 2 weeks (with no import fees!). Highly recommended.

I was surprised how much better these look in person. Extra care was taken and the gloss on these are just top notch. Even with extra detail and time taken to perfect each panel... My panels came quick, and the seller was very fast to respond to any of my questions. If you are looking to replace your panels on the Roland Juno 106... look no further, these are solid and look absolutely gorgeous. Even better than the pictures. I highly recommend!

Lots of support from videos online to help with questions. Fairly simple to use. I would like to see an easier way to get listing for internal sounds through downloads, printing, etc. Lots you can do with this keyboard and easy to move around! Thank You Roland.

I have been using the Roland JUNO-106 for decades, it's one of my favorite synthesizers... But with the voice chip problems and other repairs the JU-06 is a fantastic alternative! It is just like the JUNO-106, minus 2 voices, of course.... the sounds are almost 98.9% exact! I say that because I did notice audio aliasing, something I didn't get from my old JUNO-106's Excellent value for the money, get one while you still can!!! Rik

I had to spend $450 bucks right away after buying this JUNO because the voice chips needed to be replaced. Good condition overall, but it took some extra spending to get it working like it should.
