Very large tripod. Extremely sturdy and stable.
This is a huge tripod when extended. Even with the legs partly extended it is very tall. The construction is all about strength and stability and not flashy mechanisms. The joints use heavy duty screw tighteners even on the individual spreaders and crank up central column. I've put a telescope and clock drive on it using high power eyepieces in windy conditions and it proved stable. That load was about 25lbs. The tallest tripod with the advantage point of view.
Pros:The tallest Manfrotto tripod 105.1" / 267 cm, Sturdy, Stable, supports heavy professional gear 40 lb plus, Easy to use. I attached a Manfrotto adapter 325N to connect a Manfrotto 526 fluid head for long distance video recording. Well designed for steady shots. Cons: Heavy - 17.5 lb / 7.9 kg, plus the tripod head, plus a dolly, etc Definitively it not for a daily carry-on field trips.
