An excellent single-disc CD player
Although its ipod dock is anachronistic at this point (February 2020), the Tascam CD-200i that I just purchased is excellent at what it was designed to be: a professional-quality single-disc CD player. Mine bears a manufacture date of January 2011, but it could just as well be brand new, so durable it appears to have been thus far in its life. This player's CD transport, the Tascam/Teac CD-5020-A, is quiet, loads smoothly, and tracks accurately. My test was to play a Capriccio disc of mine, Telemann's Danziger Choralkantaten, which, at 79 minutes, approaches the maximum possible playing time. The disc's last couple of minutes have always been subject to distortion on other players, but the CD-200i played it cleanly to the very end. Couple all that with a very reasonable price, and it fully deserves its place of honor, mounted in my 19-inch audio rack.

Nice and dependable multi player.
In general, a very nice and dependable unit, but the way to change between modes (iPod, Aux and CD) is quite awkward. I guess it should be a simpler one-button operation to do this. Large and bright display is very useful while broadcasting or listening full albums. The sound quality is good and better if you buy a model with a XRL output. Modern iPhones can be plugged in the iPod input but be sure to find the correct 30-pin converter (most of this converters only permits to charge the unit, it doesn't work as an auxiliary sound output!).
