Excellent Brew Cup after Cup
This Cuisinart DCC-1400 coffee maker can't be beat for performance, reliability and features, in my experience. I've owned one for about 15 years and it hasn't failed yet. However, it's beginning to show its age and I decided to buy this model again in a factory-reconditioned (FR) version. This Cuisinart FR version coffee maker is essentially new in every way. I am very pleased with its performance and looks. Even though this unit is the same model as my old one, Cuisinart made some needed improvements to the spout on the thermal carafe, as well as to the valve that enables pouring a cup while brewing. The price for the FR version is about half of a "new" one with virtually no discernible differences I could find. It even came with a 90-day warranty. It's a great purchase. The refurbished unit replaces one we have had for 5 years. It is working exactly as expected. There was no instruction manual with the unit but if one were needed it can be downloaded from the company website. Very pleased with this inexpensive coffee maker. I was looking for a machine that would use a cone filter, brew quickly, and, most importantly, would heat the water to a higher temperature than most.
