Genuine is Better
NEC projectors which use this lamp have a replaceable cooling pump. The service manual says to change the cooling pump when you change the lamp. Genuine NEC lamp kits come with the cooling pump, aftermarket lamps do not. I bought this lamp because the cooling pump failed. I found no other source for the cooling pump except by buying this lamp kit.
