What more can anyone say that you can't get tired old Disney Classical Magic. It is said that old wine gets better as it ages, well Disney Classics just seem to flood my mind as to where and when I first saw it on the "Big Screen". My deceased Mother states that all I did after seeing the movie was go around singing "Hi Ho, Hi Ho, It's Off To Work We Go' for it must have days on end. No matter this has always been one of my most beloved Disney Animated Film, so much that I even wrote a Book Report about it in High School and got an "A". Dean Martin sang a song where part of it says "Memories are made of this", which is certainly true of Bambi.

This is really an AWESOME movie. It does not matter your age, gender or political beliefs. It hits on the fundamental beautiful parts about the relationship between a Mother and her Children. In this case, a Doe and a Fawn. It lightly follows the path along the twists, turns, ups and downs of what may happen when that relationship is ended far too quickly, without notice, and in a way that no matter animated or not, WILL bring tears to your eyes. It has so much relevance to the human life cycle, beginnings and ends. It touches on life and death, hope and sadness. It walks you through the meaning of friendship, the value of trust, and the healing power of laughter. I bought the DVD for myself, however, my 14 year old son (unremittingly) cries every time he watches this film. The characters are brilliant. It is amazing how the animals can bring out true emotion that rate on a human level. Each characters personality will remind you of someone you know. The animation is second to none considering the film was originally done in the 1940s. Think about how far advanced the animators at Disney were.The sounds, music, voices, the emotional ups and downs that come with this movie are so worth your time. There is a scene in which is so sad, it does not matter how many times I have seen it, it never fails to hit my heart. If you have young children, I would definitely sit with them the first time they see this, just in case they do grasp what is going on (with Bambis mom). It is a story that I can personally say, would be really unfortunate if you had never gotten a chance to see it.Read full review

Love this movie and all the classic Disney movies. All credits are in the beginning, like old movies, so it takes a while to get started. But, for Bambi... I don't mind. Kids love it and it really is just a sweet movie. Great for children.
