It took me sometime to setup the Epson Artisan 725 printer. At this time now, the printer is working well, as long as I use the correct paper and ink. I need to learn how to maintain the inkjet heads so that the printer can last a good time. I appreciate the purchase of the printer. Thank you.

I tried 3 different cartridges and cleaned the nozzles many times. Still won't print in black and white. Ordinarily I would recommend this model.

This is a great printer and for the price, you can't go wrong. I've yet to print photos or CD labels with it, but I suspect that I'll be even more pleased with these functions. The print quality is excellent and compared to other printers in the past, the ink cartridge (thus far, I've solely printed in grey scale) seems to last considerably longer before you need to replace it. I like the fact that it has card slots, so transferring photos or files is very simple and convenient. The overall operation is simple and easy and the manual helps to explain all the functions very nicely. It fits perfectly in my computer desk compartment - just the right size. The start-up / shut down of the printer is a bit noisy, but when actually printing, the "quiet mode" is exactly as it suggests. Lastly, I recently purchased a refurbished "white" tower PC (got tired of the dust showing on black) and this white Artisan printer matches it nicely. Yes, I do have my little quirks :)Read full review
This printer has everything a teacher, small business and home office needs. It's Wifi connection allows you to connect multiple computers to it without the hassle of moving it back and forth and eliminates the need to use Ethernet and usb cables witch ugly-up the work space(Ethernet and usb connections are included). It's "PC-Free" feature allow you to scan, make copies and print pictures and documents (with out a computer)straight from a usb stick or mem card, Bluetooth allows you to even print from a mobile phone. Setup takes about 15-20 min but it's easy, the lcd touch screen on the printer has a user friendly guide to help with setup. maintenance? if you accidentally put a photo paper incorrectly (upside down) which causes a mess inside the printer(like I did), just go to the help section inside the menu and run a nozzle check and head cleaning, after that, it ran perfect so it's also idiot-proof and low maintenance. It's double-sided printing is really great for making tests (saves on paper) and professional presentation cards or other crafts. The Paper tray holds ALOT of paper so since it's a paper tray your blank paper won't get a funny shape or get dusty. This model uses 6 individual ink cartridges so you replace only what you need (no more changing the entire thing just because you ran out of yellow ink) the ink price is reasonable, it barely consumes electricity has a great energy star rating. It's very affordable considering all it's features. It was worth every penny and Epson is a brand that I can trust, My first printer was a Epson Stylus 740 model and it lasted almost 7 years between me printing school work constantly and my mother (who's a teacher) printing heavily on a daily basis.Read full review
This is my second "Epson Artisan 725". The first one stopped working after I got good use out of it. So far this one is working just as well. The reasons I do not give it 5 stars is because the tray is somewhat a design "afterthought" - the retractable tray sticks out a lot when used but it is not a big deal. I prefer a design where the sheets are ejected on top of the printer, not taking up any additional space. Overall it's been a reliable unit. I bought this one refurbished and purchased an extended warranty.
