Great saw with a little more depth.
After 35 years it was time to replace my old Makita 7-1/4 in saw. I need one that had a little more depth to straighten boards on a home made track saw table. This saw with the 8-1/4 inch blade provided the extra depth without jumping up to the 10 inch model. I have read a lot of negative reviews about recent Makita saws but this one has not disappointed me so far. It is smooth, comfortable to handle, and has plenty of power. The LED light and blower to keep the cut line clear is a plus. I would recommend this saw. Just remember that 8-1/4 inch blades are not stocked at many hardware stores.
