I bought this as a present for a loved one. We both have smart phones I know BUT it is so much nicer to have the Garmin on the board without getting distracted by the phone OR holding the phone and getting a ticket (at least in CA). What you like most about it is that it is easy to use and has points of interests and you can find food places to go to near by. Also, free updates forever! AND it includes Mexico maps. What you dislike about it (well).. not much other than having to upload the maps the first time it took several hours but the quality of the actual maps once you start using the Garmin was definitely worth it! Whether or not you would buy the product again? YES! I am on my second one. It was definitely improved. Better features and maps. I am glad it included the maps of Mexico but I have not tried it yet.Read full review
Bought the product to use for work because I am a Driver and up to this point have relied on map books but there have been times when reading maps has been quite challenging! For example: Trying to flip through multiple pages in the dark with a flashlight! So, after doing a lot of research I finally decided to purchase the Garmin nuvi2350LMT. I love that it has lifetime maps and traffic included at no charge! I really like the 4.3 inch screen because I can glance at it quickly without taking my eyes off of the road and find the spoken directions are very helpful as well. There is peace of mind knowing you can find your way even if you take a wrong turn in unfamiliar areas. This model came with 2012.10 preinstalled maps for North America, Canada, and Mexico. There is nothing really to say about disliking this product but a few things to note; when updating to the 2012.30 maps it took about 5 hours (I was NOT planning to take this long!) although understand there are A LOT of maps to review/update.*when updating to 2012.40 it only took a half hour. **Review updated on 5/12: installed 2013.10 maps it only took a half hour*. (IT SEEMS IF YOU KEEP UP WITH THE UPDATES AND INSTALLS IT SHOULD ONLY TAKE ABOUT A HALF HOUR) Also, there are small pop-up advertisements but you can click on another other part of the screen to by-pass. Other than those minor inconveniences, I highly recommend this product!Read full review
My old GPS had a major attitude (I muted her because she was a nag) and then the company wanted $80 to upgrade the maps. I found this one for a reasonable price, a lifetime of map upgrades and this one doesn't nag. What is really impressive is if I screw up (hey I'm old and things happen) it doesn't take forever for this GPS to get me back on track. Another thing I really love is that it gives me a lot of notice of which way I will be turning. The old one gave me about a tenth of a mile whereas this one lets me know as soon as it shows the name of the next street or highway I will be turning on too. The display is nice size for these tired old eyes. It is really pretty easy to set up, didn't need a 12 year old to show me how to use it (unlike my new state of the art phone).
A fabulous discount purchase! The vendor was prompt and rapidly got this unit delivered even before the expected delivery date. It came with all of the optional mounts for use in my vehicle, and the user interface is simple and intuitive. I didn't even read the instructions before I made a trip from Las Vegas, NV into the Los Angeles, California area. It was a life-saver for someone unfamiliar with the freeways around that city! I would certainly do business with this vendor again! It's one of the most useful and most beneficial purchases I have made in a long while!
I have had other garmin units, this one is very easy to use and has more features than previous units. The lane designation feature works well and the picture display of the upcoming interchanges is a nice add.
