So So Product
Used to be that DeeZee built high quality products. Now days they just seem to be mass produced average grade quality. The tailgate protector is of OK quality but the idea of taping it on is poor. The part came in with bent corners due to banging around in the box. (The box was not damaged) DeeZee could have packed it better. My biggest complaint is that it really doesn't match up/ sit cleanly with the top of the tailgate. Seems a better fit could be achieved with a bit more engineering. I know I am being picky, but thought I would warn others looking at this product. I ran a bead of black silicone where the edge and the tailgate top trim meet. While the aluminum is of a decent grade and quality, the part is expensive for being nothing more than a piece of shaped aluminum. Would I recommend this, yes it does the job and there really aren't many other options. The factory cap piece is very thin and will rip right off if you try to slide anything heavy out of the bed.

needs gasket where lip meets plastic adhesive tape at top needs to be on metal but strong gap in second photo is large then it looks
