Nice Lightweight Vacuum
Easy to use, empty, lift, and clean. The only problem is how the belt connects to the brush roller. The part of the roller that connects with the belt is smooth, and the belt itself is smooth. This became problematic after I vacuumed Borax off of our rugs; the belt wouldn't grip the roller very well (if at all) because some Borax made its way between the belt and the roller. Also, it's a bit of a struggle to vacuum thicker/heavier rugs; there's a plastic piece on the bottom that catches on the rug when I vacuum "against the grain". Those are the only problems I've encountered with this vacuum so far. I wouldn't recommend this vacuum to an elderly person, or someone with arthritis unless they have thin carpets and/or bare floors.

One Time Only - Update!
Excited by the delivery of my new vacuum, I put it to immediate use. I vacuumed a small space of about 6' by 6' and fascinated by the clear plastic housing and collection cup, I turned it off and leaned over to inspect the tiny amount of dust. Little did I know that I used up the only time the switch would work. I checked online and read the "helps". After cleaning the filter and waiting 24 hours for it to dry and after a more than sufficient "cool down" time (motor overheat after less than a minute of use? What!), I discovered the switch still didn't work. I bought it on sale and have no doubt would have had to pay to return it so what to do? Well, I do like duct tape. The switch on my new barely used vacuum is duct taped "on". I am not happy but I guess I got what I paid for, a cheap vacuum. Maybe I'll be smarter next time. Update! My duct tape worked only a few times. Now the switch is totally dead. I cannot turn the vacuum on at all so I guess I have a useless item. I am very unhappy and cannot recommend this vacuum to anybody!

Small but powerful
I waited to send in review ... this is a powerful vacuum, however it does have a couple of things that if fixed would make it wonderful. 1. it depends on what rug your vacuuming .. there is no height adjustment too heave a carpet and it shuts off as it get to warm....bare floors you need to go over a couple of times. 2. it has attachments but no extension section. other than that .. it is a good vacuum easy to empty, easy to clean ... love the filtering system .. if they did a few adjustments to this it would be a no holds winner.. as it is light and easy to maneuver. decided to keep it even with its flaws. works great on stairs.

Easy and efficient
Since I only have area rugs, there is no need for a huge, heavy-duty vacuum. This fit the bill perfectly. It is easy to handle, does a good job of getting up the debris (although I am 1 person and not that messy - lol), and stores easily. I have no problem emptying the dirt cup or putting it back on. Perhaps a bit more suction power needed, but I have no problem with it as it is.

Bought this after reading some very positive reviews. It seems to be a very nice little vacuum cleaner at a really affordable price. Suction isn't quite as strong as I anticipated based on reviews, but it does a good job. And as some other reviewers mentioned, the hose could stand to be a bit longer. It arrived quickly and was as advertised. I would not hesitate to purchase it again.

Lightweight & Perfect for small places
I went from a large, heavy newer vacuum to this one. I have a cat and a 16 yr old. It cleans the carpets well. The only problem I have with this is that I cant use it on the hardwoods, as it spits all the debris back out the back once its sucked up. It works for the job its supposed to do, for small daily clean up. I will use my regular heavy duty vacuum for regular cleaning on the weekends.

New Upright Vacuum
this sweeper is a bit small for me "looks" wise. I was thinking it was bigger then that. Like the normal standard size but it picks up pretty fast and stores easily as well. Being in an apartment, I have the thicker type of carpet and it sweeps over it very thoroughly...some rugs/carpets have different textures, so on this carpet in my residence, this vacuum lives up to the task.

Powerful-surprisingly really good vacuum! Kid friendly!
Bought this refurbished vacuum for children's church. It works great. We tried it at home first on shag & short carpet. My standards are pretty high. I have 2 (same) purple Animal D. vacuum cleaners. One for upstairs & one for downstairs. My husband & I were both VERY impressed with its weight and effectiveness. Also, the children at church love to use it (ages 6-7). It is so easy for them use and so small (I empty it-little tricky). My husband wants to get one for his office, because it works so well at church(we teach together). Only downside is the the cord is not long enough. We need to use an appropriate extension cord(6ft) Oh, we received the TEAL color. It is a nice color. One thing is for sure, Vacuum cleaners are getting better and easier to use. I never owned a Dirt Devil before, this was our first purchase, mainly because of price and reputation(Brand). Comes with 25 foot cord which stores on a wrap around spool on the back.
