Leupold scopes
Before you decide on another brand of scope think twice. I bought 3 "other brand "scopes that were made by a camera company in a foreign country. What a disappointment ! They were impossible to hold zero and vague in adjustment control .I have 6 Leupold scopes from 4power rimfire to Leupold mk2 6-18power. I also have a VX-R fire dot on my AR15 highpower match rifle. Every one of them holds zero and is easy and predictable to adjust. You can pay lots more but you will never get a better deal! Lifetime warranty!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Clear glass, but better for same money out there
The glass is clear and the field of view is good, if you are going to set it and forget it then it will be may be fine. Mine would not zero on my Winchester model 70. Not enough windage adjustment to even bore sight it. I have good quality Talley one piece base/rings that have been lapped. I didn't have any problems with Nikon scope previously on the gun. Going to try it on my my little 223 Wylde AR. If it won't adjust to zero, I'll be trying out that legendary warranty. The tires leave much to be desired, not nearly as user friendly as my Nikons or Weaver's. The clicks aren't nearly as crisp either.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Quality glass with a rock solid erector system..Where Leupold shines is in their erector systems built inside their scopes. That's where the real the magic happens. Most people fail to realize that 90% of the World's optics glass is manufactured in two plants...They are both located in china. Whether it's tasco or weaver or nikon or zeiss, the glass is made by the same place. But it takes more than good glass to make a rifle scope..The difference lies in how brands set up the systems that control tracking and how those systems react to the heavy recoil created by high pressure/high power rounds. Along with the effects of time and environmental changes...Leupold has been the industry leader in this technology for the better part of a century. ..Within their respective price ranges, you will look a long time to find a better scope for the money than a Leupold. And their warranty program is truly world class..It doesn't matter where or who you buy a Leupold from..It doesn't matter if it's used, brand new or a couple of decades old..It doesn't matter whether if it's had zero rounds put under it or 1000 rounds. If it's a genuine Leupold, and it breaks, Leupold will fix it..Most times for nothing more than the cost of shipping...I don't know you beat that...To top it all off...All genuine Leupold Scopes are built here in USA in Oregon. My only caution is beware of imposters. There's a lot of products being sold that are not genuine Leupold. Good stuff
Good product as expected. Clearest optics around & no parallax problems from 150 yards down to 10 - yes still clear at under 10 yards with no parallax adjustment. NO other scope can claim that. However I did find the eye box on the small side/narrow (eye relief is good) but not so much an issue on a hunting rifle used regularly. Not for tactical. Also, not sure I see any appreciable difference in the optics on the VX-1 & VX-2. Also, people complaining & giving low marks that it doesn't have enough bling should just shut up, return the scope & buy a $500+ Leupold. This scope is a fine tool & does what it's meant to do very well. Lastly, it was nice to find this was NOT one the many counterfeit scopes here that make ebay the ghetto of on-line sales.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Superb scope at excellent price
Mounted on CZ 452 .22lr. Great eye relief for my 60 yr old eyes, and the optics are excellent (particularly considering the price). This is my second VX-1, and like the first excellent construction-rock solid, and consistent build quality. Great scope
This scope is a great scope with a lifetime warranty. All Leupold Gold ring scopes have the same warranty. This is one of their lower priced scopes but will work on any centerfire or muzzleloader rifle. As these are set parallax free at 100 yards, they would not be best on a rimfire 22, but could be OK on a 17 HMR or 17 WSM.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Perfect match for my Ruger 77-22 WMR
I found this scope to be another example of Leupold's excellent workmanship. The sharpness is outstanding edge to edge with perfect clarity. The silver finish is a very good match for the Ruger's matte stainless steel. I had it boresighted and it required only some minor corrections to get the rifle on target at 75 yards.
