While this game is on the GameCube and also available on the PS2 and the original Xbox, Namco Museum (personally, I kinda wished that they would've named it something better other than just "Namco Museum") is a nice little collection of classics from the legendary arcade giant, Namco.

Good overall for a bit of nostalgia, but there are better ports of Namco Museum on other platforms (XBOX One/PS4/PC) if you still crave a bit of the 80s in your gaming diet. While competently ported, the selection leaves a bit to be desired in its offering of titles including your typical fare of Pac Man, Dig Dug, Pole Position, Galaga, etc: I don't care for the challenges to unlock other games as this is a bit archaic and really just needs to go away as other ports such as PS3 Midway Collection offer many more games and don't require "scoring X amount to open Y game" to access them. Also, while the Nintendo GameCube is more than capable of running these games, you would be better served with more modern consoles with HDMI output which makes these games look their best (GameCube sadly has NO native HDMI requiring a very expensive component cable to get the best picture). In conclusion, Namco (now Bandai Namco) is hit and miss with retro game collections and if you want better quality, go with Playstation 3/4 and XBOX One/360 or find it on Steam for PC. But it's a fair title if you just want to collect GameCube games.Read full review

This collection brings sure enjoyment to an old gamer. These games were a beginning of an industry thats still going strong today. Younger gamers may not get it but I was there when these games were in the arcade and don't forget the music. These games were fun back when consoles and technology was quite limited. I recommend this collection for both young and old. A solid value for gamers!

Stumbled across this game and im glad i ordered it. Namco Museum is a collection of early 1980s video games done right. Titles such as Pac-Man, Miss Pac-Man, Galaga, Galaxian, Pole Position 1 and 2, and Dig Dug. These games are just as you remember them from the coin-op arcade days, the gameplay is as close as it gets. Plus for a little bit of an updated feel each game has a second version on the disc with updated graphics and gameplay. Myself i stick with the original versions when playing, it really brings back the feel of years gone past. For those who grew up in the 80's hanging out on the weekends at your local mall in the gameroom, this game is for you.
I love the original games that are so fun to play. I am pleasantly surprised that my wii system will play the game-cube games. I did have to buy a game cube controller to play it, but it was affordable. I do not have the memory chip to save the game high scores. this is also required to unlock the hidden games that the system will open after playing certain games and saving the high scores. I look forward to getting the storage chip and see what games are hidden in there for me to unlock. hours of fun for a MRS PAC_MAN fan.
Love the game ...I am a retro gamer also...love it...

The pitch of the audio in Pac-Man Arrangement and Dig Dug Arrangement have been changed slightly from their original aspect, the pitch sounds higher than it did in the arcade versions. other differences to This version of the popular system port of Namco Museum marks the first version in the series to include a non-arcade game (Pac-Attack, originally released on Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo and also previously Japanese-only). The version on these consoles include all the games from the Nintendo 64 version plus Pac-Man Arrangement (1996), Galaga Arrangement (1995), Dig Dug Arrangement (1996), Pac-Attack (1993), Pac-Mania (1987), and Pole Position II (1983). Pac-Attack and Pac-Mania must be unlocked by scoring 25000 in Pac-Man, and 20000 in Ms. Pac-Man respectively. all in all a pretty good game..Read full review
This was certainly quite reasonably priced, and reasonable quality for such an old game. My son was very happy to receive it for Christmas.

The old nine teen eighties games pole position, dig-dug, pac-man, galaxian, and galaga are back. The arcade games differ slightly from their original configurations, and the sound is also less dramatic. The action remains very similar, and the characters are pretty much dead-on. Since purchasing this disk, I have been playing every chance I get. It's kind of fun to place an old fruit jar with a coin slot on top near your coffee table, and drop a quarter in before each round. Amazing how they add-up! (hee-hee)
