Right part, but prepare yourself with the right tool for it before yoiu begin.

On my quest to rid an early-'99 7.3 F-350 Super Duty of its electrical maladies, I found oil in the ICP sensor, meaning it was time to change it. Wary of too-good-to-be-true prices on eBay or the $200+ retail at the local Ford parts shop, I bought a $100-ish Motorcraft one. Before you begin, get the appropriate tools. I lucked out with my extended 1-1/16 socket. It was not a straightforward fit, as there were fuel lines in the way. If I wasn't careful, I could've broken the sensor. If you got a crow's foot of this size, use it. At least bring along an adjustable wrench that opens that wide. Whatever tool you use, make sure it will work in the tight space where the ICP sensor is located. If I were to do this again, I'd get the special sensor socket tool.

This product is a cheap knockoff yes it came in a motorcraft package but it is not a motorcraft part headed installed on my truck the truck would not even run it was running before I took it in they took it back off put the old one back on and it ringing they compared it to the one I ordered off Amazon in 2023 and the only thing different was the number of the year of production this one says 25 and that one said 23 everything was the same defective knockoff part

Purchased with a bit of skepticism, but reviews led me to purchase it. Just installed on my truck and icp reading was steady and responsive. Test drive under wot was good. I had p1281 with a alliant icp less than 2 years old. Sending biased high voltage at wot acceleration. This icp eliminated the code upon first test drive. Time will tell how icp does. For now I'm satisfied with part and the price. Shipping was fast.

  • Nothing Like an Official Ford Part

What I like the most about this ICP sensor was it was in an official Ford package. Previously from another company, I replaced a wastegate sensor. It was poor quality and caused a surge making my original ICP go out. As soon as I switched the ICP the engine started again and ran fine. Please keep pushing Ford parts.

  • Sure seems to have done the trick

Stealership quoted me $220 for the newest version of this part. my truck is 25 years old and the sensor was close to that age. This part solved my rough hot idle, and apparently the ball bearing in aluminum can noise I was hearing only in top gear under light to heavy load. Seems to be an actual motorcraft part. shipped quick too. Highly recommend

Came in a ford part bag but not sure it's a factory part. Nevertheless put it in and it seems to be working as of now.

  • Always use OEM parts. Especially sensors.

Made the mistake of putting a cheap and inexpensive aftermarket sensor in. Had to go back and put a good Ford Motorcraft OEM part on it to fix it.
