    Worked well

I repaired a 1" tear in my antique car seat. The inside repair worked great and the vinyl crack filler worked fine but didn't "cure" with heat as the instructions described. THAT SAID, The product filled the tear nicely and given about 3 days to air dry, it made a good looking repair. Mine is a black seat and is barely visible. It's a lot less expensive than an upholsterer.

A tiny dab of base epoxy will only cover the smallest of tears.

You get a tiny little cup of the clear epoxy which you need as the base. It's so small that only a small tear would be fixable with that amount. The kit from Permatex gives you a proper toob of the stuff which is way more useful. I opened the little dabber in this one to see if it had hardened up like another cheesy no name kit I bought here on Ebay and while it was still good that day it set overnight and was then useless so I went out and bought a big shot of 2-part epoxy to replace it.

  • GREAT REPAIR PRODUCT IF USED CORRECTLY.

use it properly and it is great. The out come depends on the person using the product . If not used correctly it will not have a good finish . Do not blame the product for user errors .Gary !!

  • Better than expected

Had never heard of this kind of repair method but this kit worked well. Was used on a vintage motorcycle king queen seat

  • ...

The product is ok for small holes no larger than 1/4" on clear flat areas not near and stitching. The heating methodology is useless..too flimsy and requires the hands of a surgeon.

  • Job completed.

It repaired my three small holes on my Harley and I all most done a perfect repair, need to really take your time, best time to do is on a rainy day or time to kill. TKS.

  • Good for a rough patch job

Hard to match colors, difficult to apply

  • It gets the job done

It's a bit fiddly and don't expect the results to look like new. But it does the job and looks better than the original crack.
