I listened to my stacks of braxton LPs and CDs while reading this book, to the London, Birmingham, and Coventry Cds that were part of that '85 tour. The music of Braxton is always at the highest level of creative writing, improvs, and execution. Very insightful and thought provoking for the already established Braxton fan. There was much focus in the interview parts about his philosophies and interplanetary compositions and stuff that, to me, just seemed important to him, but very abstract in the big picture. Personally, I love this book for what it involked in me to go seek out some more recent recordings by a variety of braxton ensembles. Buy it! Listen to Anthony Braxton! Support the Music people!
