So glad to have the entire "Earth's children" series in hardback.
Have followed this series for years, since Clan of the Cave Bear (the first book) came out. Since there is always a significant span of time between books I would always go back to the beginning and read "up to" the new book. I'm doing that now - almost finished with the third book, "The Mammoth Hunters" and will pursue the rest this summer.
