From my own sewing experience of 50+ years, the Pfaff 1473 CD and the Pfaff 1475 CD are both great machines. I own two of each model. The main difference is the optimum width of the decorative stitches; with the 1475 a bit wider. The beauty of these two machines is the built-in walking foot called "dual feed." This feature prevents the upper layer of fabric from shifting which can easily happen. If I forget to engage it, I will notice a difference immediately. My granddaughter loves to sew on it because of the "snail" feature which slows it down. All the buttons are easily accessible and user friendly. I have purchased 3 of my Pfaff machines on eBay. When they arrive I take them to my local Pfaff dealer to have them checked over, cleaned, and adjusted if necessary.

This is my fourth Pfaff sewing machine. My newest Pfaff needs some repairs so I needed a backup machine. I had this style machine 15 or so years ago and wore it completely out. I LOVE this machine and the newest one. The very best feature, I feel, is the built in walking foot. It is integrated with the feed dogs so they work together. This is great for quilting, keeps fabrics from slipping around and when working with silk and velvets. Expensive but so worth it, excellent sewing machine!

Great quality built into this machine. I haven't embroidered with it yet , but sewing is nice. So far I am pleased.

This sewing machine went to my daughter and she is absolutely delighted! She is going to check to see if it does dishes too since it does so many things.
