i bought this ipod because it had the radio on it and i really liked that for work because most of the radios we have get really bad reception. a few things i did not like about the ipod are, i bought the ipod used and the battery would only last 12 hours instead of 24. the major thing is that you have to have itunes 10.0 or later, apple only has itunes 10.3 and 10.4 and both will not work on a mac powerPC G4, so you have to upgrade your computer in order to use the ipod if you have an old system. i really like the reception on the ipods radio, and the volume buttons on the outside are really nice. compared to the 2nd gen nano, i would have to say that i dont like this one as much. i think that this nano would be better if it was the size of the 2nd gen nano.
Without a doubt the "original" 6th generation Ipod Nano is the best. It has all the features that allows you to modify it to your desire and it has a fantastic clip on the back so you can clip it to a jacket or shirt, or to your dashboard as I do in my old truck. When I lost my original Ipod I learned that Apple sells new "6th generation" Nanos but there are no features with the exception of shuffle. I like my various playlists and had no interest at all in the new version. I have a total of 3 Nanos, 2 are 6th generation and one is 7th. The seventh is great because it has Bluetooth, but it's larger and has no clip. If you want to put the 7th generation Nano in any type of docking station or attach it to a USB cord, you have to buy an extra adapter because they modified the bottom...that actually makes me angry with Apple.Read full review

I was scared to buy something this small and expensive but it is totally worth it. It holds a lot of music and plays excellent like any iPod but besides music, a pedometer and clock/stopwatch/timer thats all it does. This is perfect for me, all I wanted was a reliable small music player with a screen and smooth navigation and it does exactly that. The battery only lasts for around 12 hours of me playing music and scrolling through songs every once in a while, which is half of what is advertised. But who honestly turns their iPod on without changing a song or rating it for 24 hours?? So it could last much longer but just doesn't for how I use it. 12 hours is still plenty though because I can always charge it in various places. The touch screen is very smooth to navigate through as long as you like touch screens or just put a little time getting used to it. The volume buttons being on the top are very nice and easy to change the volume without difficulty. So... if you want simply a music player that is small and amazing- get the nano 6G!Read full review
I bought this item because it has great battery life and the features and design are great for the price. Its a micro juke box and the design is so compact and its hard to believe that so much clear sound could come from such a small device. I will use it for my DJ gigs for a back up because you can store so many songs on it. I will also take it in my car so that I can listen to the tunes I want to hear.
