Works well but the beam adjustment is worthless
Nice little light. Fairly sturdy design and easy to use. The rotating adjustment for the light beam width is useless. There is almost no notable change in output. The light turns on/off with a small button, which would have been a good opportunity for Bosch to add brightness levels depending on button pushes.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Handy as a pocket on a shirt
I'm a contractor and this is maybe my most frequently used tool now. Can't tell you how many good "D cell" type flashlights I've had, but I never have batteries, they break easy, and don't point where you want them to when you need to use both your hands for other things. Also have had a messload of little cheapie flashlights which last a week or two in the environment we put them in. I've only had this light a month, but I've used it hard in wet crawl spaces, hot attics, dusty demo sites... It just works. Not bright enough to light a whole room but great for lighting up inside a cabinet, a small area of an attic or crawl, electrical panel (since power to the room lights is usually off while you're working), etc. The angle adjustment is simple and works well. Battery life is not as long as stated, mine typically last about 6 hrs between charges. But I have 6 batteries between my other bosch tools so who cares? The beam focus really doesn't do much. You turn it and the beam doesn't really change much. But I don't find I miss that feature personally. All things considered, will pay for itself in no time. Incredibly Bright
