They should have used Ed Stasium who produced their flagship Edges of Twilight album. Then maybe the album would have lived up to the hype and 10 year wait. Personally I think Ed would have made the guys do this album a lot more differently and make this album what it should have been. I love The Tea Party and was really looking forward to this album and was expecting A LOT, but I was disappointed. Track 1 sounded way way too much like Led Zeppelin's the Song Remains the Same and really turned me off. I'm going to compare the 2 with a metronome someday and see if they match up. Ed Stasium would have not let them do this. Many of the other tracks start off good but only let me down further into the songs. Jeff M used some of the same lyrics from their other songs from other albums. Hints of Edges, hints of Transmission, etc...but none of the songs did it for me at all. The song Brazil was a major let down, this track could have been a good candidate for a World Cup theme song. It just made me think of soccer. The chorus with everyone screaming "Brazil!" was really corny. Ed Stasium would have had the guys scratch this one completely off the album. This could have been a great album for the guys. Unfortunately to me it really let me down and from what I've heard from many other Tea Party fans, they are not too happy with it either. Much of them feel exactly the way I do about the new album. It's great the guys got back together and did another long awaited album. After 10 years us Tea heads were dying for another. Just not this one. Let's hope for the next album they use Ed.Read full review
