If Citizen Kane is Welles' masterpiece, this film ranks a close second
What a wonderful film. Welles yoked together parts of several Shakespeare plays to create this homage to the rascal Falstaff, a character so dominant that he gave life to a Shakespeare comedy, a grand opera, and even a brand of beer.
