These guys are boring. They just go around and hug each other. They make motorcycles but don't seem to do anything with them. Movie fails to show any current background life on them except staged parties. How do they afford these $20,000 bikes?! To top is all off (and to explain the whole video) the main charachter talks into the camera to no end how each motorcycle part has its own energy and should be kept pure, and then spends who know how much time and money to completely change the gift tank for the bike. This movie makes me suspect they are all just a bunch of trust fund kids. The only great part is when Jason Jessee is on screen....and even then the producers decide to keep the camera off him as much as possible. I'd rather watch a documentary on flower arranging.
I purchased this DVD because I am a guy from New Jersey right out of the fiftys and can identify wiih the Rockabilly movement in our Country. I loved it for over 65 years and still make a lot of the events. My car club (not a gang) the untouchables was formed in Jersey City NJ back in 1957 and I still stay in touch with the original members. The DVD Chopper Town The Sinners is about as real as it gets as some of these guys have known each other since high school and before and are very tight and careful who they let in. That is the way it should be and the Sinners have my upmost respect as it only takes one f--k up to mess it up for everybody. That is why most motorcycle clubs have a process called prospecting or probation period to see if you fit within the club. This was a very good DVD and I loved watching it. I've watched this movie over and over. Follow these great group of friends, builders, and bikers as they help their friend Cutty build his own first bike. Like many of us, he is building it as cheap as possible using his network of Sinners all around the country. Watch him take an old junk frame into a thing of beauty. This movie will make you want to build a custom bike, recall the feeling of owning your first bike, or just makes you want to go out and ride. I recommend this film to anyone.
The movie depicts more or less real life biker/car enthusiasts doing what they really do in the real southern cal traditions, helping each other out on the way to recreating true to life old school choppers... great movie , good music and great detailing on the "biker" lifestyle that doesn't exist everywhere anymore, just certain special "non rubby" places. Nice to see real people out there doing whatever it takes, besides a fat ass wallet.
