Lots of features. Many activities can be customized to have as much or little data on screen as you like. While solar version offers a few more features, I don’t believe the extra battery life offers much. It won’t charge itself to run continuously without being plugged in at some point. You’ll need to download the manual and learn the three or so menu paths to get to everything. If you are just looking for steps, heart rate, sleep behavior, save your money and go for something smaller and less expensive. The real value in this watch is GPS and barometric, which give you speed, distance, elevation, and let you return to something you want to see again, or find your way back home. Of course there are smart watches and phone apps, too, but this unit preowned between $85 to $125 as of this writing is a great deal, especially if cable and watch band are included and unit is not too banged up. Cables go for $5 to $10, and it will take any 22mm width watch strap. Just avoid NATO or one piece straps since they will cover the heart monitor. The Garmin straps are very comfortable, too. So, if you can get a good deal on just the watch head, then an aftermarket strap and cable would be under $15 to $30 added to the price of the watch head. To get a good deal, don’t be afraid to try a color you might not think to go with. These aren’t meant to be subtle Tiffany jewelry items. I initially preferred black, grey, or white, but I like the blue one I got. I hope this has been helpful for you.Read full review

Easy to synchronize, great route marker, counts the steps very accurate and looks good. It is a little heavy compared with the vivoactive HR that I had before, but nothing significant. The battery lasts up to two weeks. It doesn’t have color on the display nor it has touchscreen, but I love it.

Great CONCEPT item, but thousands of these fail SP02 LED sensors and have to be returned to Garmin (If it's still under warranty) - Just read the complaints online. Also, barometric / altitude sensor is flush with skin surface at wrist, blocking off readings, unlike the Casio ABC watches. Third big problem - Garmin Express is downloadable online to register watch and update, etc...But it doesn't open! These watches unfortunately are an abysmal failure due to bad design. I own four new ones (less than a year old - One SP02 failed; the others get blocked from altitude / barometric readings (as stated); Garmin Express can't be used for any (and all) of these. Garmin is unresponsive to fix their software online. These watches appear to many to be a five star design, because they are clueless about these problems.Read full review

Great watch for those who want messages with out all the frills. Great watch for those who want to have all the basic tracking systems.
