Perfect fit for my Dyson V7 Car/Boat. Use the attachment for hard to reach places without having to bend, stretch or use a ladder. Dyson makes high quality products. Both form and function well thought out. Products made from mid to high end materials and have quality finishes. Built and designed for consumer ease of use and maintenance. However, Dyson customer service are either unfamiliar with the products or lie just to upsell you. I have the Dyson v7 car/boat. I needed an extension wand so I wouldn’t have to constantly bend or stretch for hard to reach places. Called Dyson, gave them the model number for my unit, and asked for an extension wand that’ll fit . They claimed the extension wands were not made for the v7. They said I’d have to buy a new vacuum that comes with a wand. I rephrased the question, asked if they sold an extension wand as a replacement part that uses the same lock/release system that is able to fit with the unit I have. Multiple csr stated “no”. After searching, I came across this Ebay listing and the seller said it will fit and work with my unit. Two different replies, I need to verify, so I took one of the brush attachments to a local Target for a test, perfect fit. Read full review

The pictured color is a yellowish/orangish one, same as what I had and needed a replacement for. The color I received was more like a copper type color. I was not happy about that. However the part fits and seems to work just fine.

Its a really nice type . It fit my dyson V8 perfectly . A bit difficult to put on and removing it is a bit hard but do able . Overall is great! I think my dyson will get used to it ! Also reasonable shipping time

I bought this strictly to have an extra wand, so now I have one for my carpet head and the hard surface head. It's just easier to change out the heads from the wands rather than at the bottom of the wand. Does that make sense? It's a total luxury, but I love it! I also have a Dyson at our second house, I plan to take a wand down there and see if it's compatible, if it is, I'm ordering another! Thank you, I was thrilled to be able to order one!

If you have a Dyson V7 Boat & Car Vacuum, this wand fits and functions perfectly. Dyson will tell you that the handheld vacuums cannot use these accessories, but not so. However, it is almost impossible to tell online whether a specific accessory will fit, since Dyson continuously releases new colors and designs each year, even on accessories. Since my V7 had a purple top, I assumed the purple wand might fit and ordered in on Amazon. Nope. I'm glad I saw someone on eBay say that they purchased this wand for their V7 and it worked.
