    Quiet Little Workhorse.

This has enough power to trench it's furrow but I bought it for a clean edge after the first round with a 2 cycle .90 weedeater so that it doesn't have to work very hard.I advise the 4AH batteries. Best news is that's quiet, easy to guide and leaves a clean edge. As we all know that narrow clean edge doesn't last long but this thing is so light and quiet it's no problem to go out early in the morning after the dog walk and clean up if it's not time to mow yet. Wish I'd bought one years ago. FYI it is powerful enough to kick back on you if you start on concrete, a root, embedded stone.

    Waste of money

The battery lasts about 5 minutes in this product. Bought both a new edger and a new battery at the same time. I let the battery charge the required amount of time and went out to start my edging and 5 minutes later the battery had to be recharged. About 1/2 an hour later it was recharged and ready to go. I went out again and again it died after 5 minutes. This went on 5 or 6 times. A job that normally takes less than an hour took well over 3 hours! I immediately went back on Ebay and bought a corded electric edger. Fabulous ! While I bought this because I can use only one hand functionally, I cannot recommend this product. I have had 18v and 16 v battery operated drills and screwdrivers and had no problems with them. Against my better judgement I thought I would try this for convenience. It was a waste of money. Stick with an electric edger. My grade is an F for failure.

My driveway is 96 yards long with grass growing all over it. I have not edged in 19 years..this edger did it with ease...unreal. I have alot of ryobi stuff and 8 battery's .I used the big battery for thus job..I had plenty of juice left for the neighbors drive. They look amazing ,the edger w a flawless

  • Drains battery very quickly

It is easy enough to use but it drains a fully charged battery very quickly. 12 to 15 feet is about all you get from a battery charge, yet the same battery lasts a long time with other tools like the trimmer and blower. This tool needs more power than a battery can deliver. Therefore, it makes it very inconvenient to stop every 15 feet to recharge the battery for an hour. Impossible to complete the entire yard in one day.

  • Great edger

This edger is a workhorse. I bought this to clean up all the yard edges that the previous homeowners had let overgrow (both dirt and grass) onto the driveway and sidewalk by 3"+. The edger worked through them no problem. Some areas were worse than others and required multiple passes but the edger had more than ample power to cut through it all. This job was done over multiple days as the overgrowth was so bad it eventually drained my batteries. Now that they're all trimmed I can quickly edge everything to keep them straight and maintained, there's no resistance at all. I do recommend buying/using a larger battery. I have close to 1,000 linear feet of edging and use a 6AH battery. Without any overgrowth the 6AH will cover all of that in one charge.

  • Great Edger

I have been edging my corner lot with a string trimmer for two years, and it finally died on me so I decided to give this edger a try. First, the plastic feel that others complain about is actually a plus as it is very lightweight due to this. Second, the battery that is provided with the tool is meh.. however, i scooped up two 3 ahm 18v one+ batteries and a charger for about $60. all of my tools are battery operated Ryobi tools so cant go wrong with extra batteries- right? if you have a small lot to edge then the battery that Ryobi includes for this tool will be fine, but medium and large size yards will require higher capacity 18v one+ batteries (3 ahms or greater). i was very impressed with the performance of this edger, so much more than the trimmer. the 4-position depth adjuster comes in really handy as i can easily switch the depth position when moving from edging the sidewalk to my flower beds. I am pleased with this edger and my purchase. $85 for the edger and $60 for two 3 ahm 18v batteries, and still cheaper than the 40v version :)

  • Electric edger

They said this edger was light weight. It was not. I thought the battery was included because in the description it said Battery Inc which I thought meant battery was included. It was not. So I had to order battery and charger which was quite expensive. Also the box or instructions did not say which battery to order 1.54, 2.0, or 4.0. So I ordered the 2.0. When using the edger it only lasted 20 minutes before it had to be charged again to finish my edging. I was very disappointed with this item.

  • Wonderful results, clean edge

This does a great job. I have a large yard, and, starting out, I couldn't do the whole yard at once, even with two big battery charges. But once I got it nicely edged, keeping it up is no big deal, and I can do the entire half-acre front yard with two big battery charges. This provides such a nicer edge than I could ever get with my weed eater, and it's so much easier than using a gas or electric edger. I'm so glad I bought this Ryobi edger.

  • As good or better than I hoped!

I don't have a lot to edge in my property, but I do like it to be edged with a bladed edger. This unit works perfectly for me - much less hassle, much faster to get out, use and put up. I was worried about power, battery life and whether this would be a toy. I was pleasantly surprised and could not be any happier. I have already edged my yard twice on the initial charge.

  • 🔥 Ryobi Cordless Edger 9 in. 18V Lithium-Ion Handheld Depth Adjustment Electric

This edger is awesome. Cut my edging time down to about 5 minutes. Wish I would have bought one sooner.
