Excellent beginner drone
I was extremely skeptical to purchase a drone for $50 because you know what they say, " you get what you pay for". However, I have been very surprised by this little guy. It has proven to be very very durable, I've crashed it about a million and 3 times, I've even cracked the fuselage, but it keeps going. It's great for a beginner, because it's cheap and relatively easy to fly. It also has headless mode, which makes it easier to control. There are only a couple of drawbacks. 1 being the 500 Mah battery, with the camera and landing gear attached you only get about 5 minutes of flight time. But that problem is easily rectified, I found a 5 pack of 1200 Mah batteries for $20, but them, it's worth it. The second drawback is the range. Definitely need to modify. And the camera is low quality. But other than that, it's a great you and lots of fun!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Syma's transmitter controls are incredibly inferior
I lost two Syma drones inside of a month because they are almost impossible to control. I bought a UDI drone for less than this drone cost and I love it! It warns me when the drone's battery is getting low so I have time to bring it back. The joysticks return to center when I let them go which is incredibly important to maintaining control of the drone so it doesn't crash or go up so high that a high level wind doesn't carry it away. Plastic guard

Disappointingly inadequate
I found the product lighter than expected. It was surprisingly defective. After about 8 flights, one of the propeller motors failed. It simply burned out. Having only one battery included with unit, with a run-time of approximately 5-6 minutes, it was 30 days out, couldn't return for replacement. The controls are not user-friendly. Some of the manual illustrations and directions are not easy to interpret or execute. If you're ok with tossing $35 to the wind, go ahead. It won't return.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
