The Mikuni TM42-6 HSR flows 17CFM more than our TM40-6 and incorporates many upgraded features such as a roller-bearing slide. For this Mikuni carburetor to operate correctly the motorcycles air box must be opened up as much as possible to allow more air flow in.

Very good carburettor but not enough information in the description
In the description it says it fits XR 650 r and in the small description it says it fits with the large original tank but I had the small original tank and it did not fit my bike. When you get the carburettor it says to point the fuel jet to hit the needle in the centre well don't do that because it will void your return because it says do not put fuel in it otherwise you cannot return it. Overall very good carburettor but needs more in the description and now they are trying to make me pay for a carby kit because I put fuel in it. I don't think that's my problem!

The Beast
That's what all my friends called the XR650R before I got the new carburetor. Now after all these years I have finally awakened the real monster within. Even without fine tuning, I am thrilled once again with this bike. It started on the second kick from dead cold. I can't believe how much better it is. Now all I need is for the rain to stop so I can get some seat time and do some tuning. Worth every cent.
