This is a great book for elementary math teachers. Gives a different perspective and some great ideas.

Book condition is great. I'm very interested in Lipping Ma's thoughts on the differences in the way Elementary Math is taught in China as compared to USA. I feel like this is a pivotal issue to Secondary Math instruction because the attitudes learned early on will be carried on to High School. Since I am a graduate student, I still haven't had time to spend much time with the book.
I bought the book because my professor wanted us to read chapter 4 in it. That was in fact the only chapter that I've read. It was interesting in that it signifies the importance of teaching students mathematical concepts instead of just giving them the rules or formulas without helping them to understand the why.
