Midway USA's "Building Your Gunsmithing Library: An indexed Review of Gunsmithing Books" includes this book in it's Library and gives it a 3 out of 5 stars rating. "Fine Gunmaking: Double Shotguns" by Steven Dodd Hughes 167 pages, Hardcover, Publisher: Krause Publications copywrite 1998 (out of print) Focuses on the charateristics and finishing of fine side-by-side double shotguns. While providing several chapters worth of useful general information, specific topics such as "Blueprinting the Shotgun Barrel" are where this book stands out. The author does an excellent job explaining finish applications, as well as metal shaping and customizing. While not a step-by-step instruction guide, the chapter titled "Full Circle Fox" provides an outstanding example of what is possible in the creation of a fine shotgun.
