I am a working musician, I use my acoustic guitar 4 & 5 times a week for 3 & 4 hours per night . A pack of Elixirs can last me as long as three weeks , as opposed to regular non-coated strings that I would have to change every single night to get that bright responsive sound. If you add up what regular strings would cost every night and compare it to the price of Elixirs, it is an easy decision !

It seems that I bought the 3 pack as 1/2 of the real value. The problem is that I can't compare it with the original one because I've never used before. However it not made in USA unlike as described. So I recommend buying the real one from USA or buy a very cheap one from China.

I have experimented with other brands of strings but none of them provide the bright sound and longevity that the Elixir phosphor bronze strings with nanoweb coating. I use them on my 6-string and 12-string acoustic/electric guitars and can easily get 4 months or more of great tone quality. Other brands often begin to lose their "new string" sound after just a few weeks. Now that I know I will be using the Elixir strings, I can purchase their multi-packs and save quite a bit of money.

I have tried Cleartone and D'Addario EXP which are both coated, but I find myself ultimately returning to Elixir. They really sound beautiful for a long time. Buying multiple sets to save money in the long run makes the most sense.

i like the sound of these strings. It came with my baby Taylor and I decided to install these stings to my beater Yamaha F335. The guitar used to have a lot of bottom end, now it sounds brighter with more mids which I prefer. Highly recommend these strings.
