I own two of these monitors and they are excellent! The resolution is modern by today's standards and the array of inputs will not hold you back from connecting anything to it. Some concerns when getting it are the weight and heat. Weighing in at 10kg, it's definitely a big boy. Keeping it on for long periods of time can make the back hot to the touch, so make sure there is decent ventilation wherever you install the monitor. They also consume 250W compared to modern UHD monitors at 60W, just another thing to keep in mind. Keep in mind to get the full resolution (2560x1600), you'll need to use DisplayPort or DL-DVI cables, you cannot use VGA or HDMI as you'll max out around 1600x1200 and get a disappointing picture. After 12 years since their introduction, they are workhorses and show no signs of breaking down. For the price, they are a great alternative to similar sized monitors out on the market, however note that there are some compromises when picking one up. Read full review

Actually my monitor is the new U3011 model which replaced the 3008WFP model. I love this monitor!!! The size makes reading print so easy. The colors are beautiful. Images are crisp and sharp. Height-Adjustable stand, tilt, swivel and built in cable-management. I have found nothing negative about this monitor. My husband has a 3007WFP model and I fell in love with it. I've wanted one ever since he purchased his 30 inch monitor about 3 years ago. So, he decided to gave me an early Christmas present. I'm so happy he did. It's a very expensive monitor, but if you can afford it, go for it!!! You won't be disappointed.
I bought this monitor as I wanted as large a desktop as possible. I also wanted to have a higher resolution and larger screen for gaming as well as video and photo editing. I also have the Dell 27" WFP and after having had the chance to compare the 2 side by side, I much prefer the 27". There is too much real estate with the 30" monitor, the color imaging is not quite as good as the 27", and I prefer the slightly higher resolution of the 27" monitor. The nature of these monitors is such that the packaging and shipping is extremely important. Don't buy on price alone. I got burned that way.
This is my second Dell 300WFP. The quality of the display was good as my original. No scratches on screen. Good buy.
