"New" but NOT in new condition.
This is not the first coast product I have used, I have rouse headlamps almost daily as I work in a somewhat dimly lit area, and normally the coast headlamps work fine. But when I received this one, it didn't function. I figured the batteries were dead. I opened the package, and noticed a large crack in the battery housing, it came from so much battery corrosion and leakage that it split the batter case. The actuall dimmer section was broken off. It is pretty much pretty useless in that condition. I was able to clean out all the battery powder and if I squeezed it hard enough it would actually come on for a second but as soon as you let off the finger pressure, it stops working. Like I said earlier, normally the headlamps are good. This one was probably several years old "new old stock" which was in a overheated storage facility. They do have lifetime warranty but, for the price I paid, I'm not going to ship it back to coast, wait 3 months for a replacement, or let them tell me it was the defective batteries that caused the problem. I have literally had at least 10 of these in different brands I thought this was a fantastic deal but I've only used mine a few times and I have 3 of them and the light flickers it loses power somehow I think its the battery connection I'm not sure I haven't investigated it yet I just use my other head lights LED Lenser is the best in the world the rechargeable H7r I believe it is is the best it holds 4 triple A batteries, that is if you use up the rechargeable battery which will last 6 hours in full power :-) the problem is its $80 :-) I bought these cheap ones to keep in my cars and in the house and such never really used them and now they're breakingVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great Light for a Grampa
I've been using old style headlamps for working on home and cars where my weak old eyes needed additional assistance. Also use them for hunting.
