Great flashlight for the price.
I've been looking for a bright, LED flashlight that you don't have to push the switch 6 times every time you want to turn it on, and I found it with this flashlight. I guess if you want a "tactical" flashlight, fine, this isn't for you. If you want a flashlight goes on and off when you push the switch once, then this is what you're looking for. Streamlight LED review (4xAA)
I bought this for indoor use. I wanted brighter than the typically smaller flashlights that tended to be dim in use. This light is not really a rugged "outdoor" flashlight -- at least I don't think of it that way myself. (It could be used when camping, but isn't really a powerful light for outdoors, except for relatively closeup use.) However, for common indoor use, it is durable and bright enough to be very useful. I use rechargeable batteries, so I appreciate that the 4 AA batteries power a good bright LED light, and can be reused many times over. It is what I expected and I am happy with this flashlight. I think the key here is to have reasonable expectations before you buy -- and to do some looking around first. For indoor use, I recommend this product. I have owned hundreds of flashlights as I am a flashlight collector. This is absolutely one of my favorites.
It has a wide beam, and only one brightness level, but it is extremely durable, waterproof, and provides more than a week of continuous light.
