About the BrandCristobal Balenciaga is a Spanish designer who in 1914 started his own brand and named it after him. As a fashion designer, Balenciaga’s success was immediate, as his apparel was worn by the Spanish royal family and the aristocracy. Due to the Spanish Civil War he moved to Paris, where in 1937 he opened his couture house. In 1947 he introduced his first Balenciaga fragrance Le Dix, which was named after the address of his boutique in Paris. In collaboration with Coty a series of successful perfumery goods have been launched over the following years.

The scent of violets is beautiful but challenging in perfume. Chemistry is everything so I would advise a sample before purchase, but if you love a green, fresh and sophisticated soft floral, try to see how your skin responds. For me, this gorgeously structured perfume works. It manages to be soft and pliable, as well as serious, intelligent.
