Released in 2009 by the house of Hermes, the Terre d’Hermes EDT features a woody, fruity feel for the quintessential man. Created by Jean-Claude Ellena, this perfume begins with a citrus top, consisting of madarin and grapefruit, blending down into a base of oakmoss and benzoin, with some wood notes added in. The intermingling fragrance denotes a combination of the earth element with water and air, and comes in a mild golden colour in a classic glass flask.

A modern Masterpiece at a reasonable price
I love it! I don't smell the strong orange opening that some people do, whether that's due to my nose or the weather or possible batch variations I really couldn't say, but I'm glad it smells more woody and earthy than citrus. It's a terrific cologne that could be worn to the office or on a date. It's not the sexiest scent for women I wouldn't think (most women seem to prefer sweeter smells on men these days), but it smells like something a successful and confident man of good taste would wear. Great projection and longevity, too.
